Alternative GetRight Pro Installer by Ricardo
Download Here
Current GetRight Pro version included in the installer: 6.5
Last update: June-22-2012
R.I.P. GetRight
- There are no official news about GetRight since the first half of 2010.
- Version 6.5 was silently released in Jan/2011.
- The official forum is offline since Apr/2012, along with many years of helpful posts.
Internet Archive has a few old copies of it.
- And Michael Burford was abducted by apples.
About this Installer
This is an alternative installer (setup program) for GetRight Pro I created
using Inno Setup.
Some advantages over the official installer:
- It is updated more frequently (after every major and minor releases);
- Easy-to-use "Repair" feature to fix the current installation if some problem appears;
- Displays more options during the install process;
- You can easily register your copy of GetRight during the install process;
- Creates well-organized icons in the Start menu;
- Installs a file with a list of all the changes between GetRight versions;
- The setup program is available in many languages.
Note 1: This is an unofficial installer,
unsupported by the GetRight's author.
Note 2: GetRight version 6.3a inaugurates a new official installer based on this
one, but not updated as often and with fewer installation options.
Tips
- If you want to migrate from the official installer to
this one, first uninstall the original using the "Upgrading GetRight" option and
then install GetRight using this installer.
- You can install or reinstall over previous installations, but it is
recommended to uninstall the previous using the "Upgrading GetRight" option.
- If you uninstall GetRight, and then reinstall it without enabling
the option "Take over Downloads from your web browser", the click-monitoring may
start deactivated and will need to be enabled manually (right-click the tray icon
and choose "Turn On Click-Monitoring").
- Read the History.txt file in the folder where you installed GetRight to know
about the changes between GetRight versions.
